Richard L. Turner

Richard L. Turner
Richard L. "Dick" Turner, age 72, of Canton, died Friday, October 10, 2008 at Aultman Hospital with his wife by his side.

He was born February 5, 1936 in Cambridge, Ohio to the late Harold B. and Eva M. (Wilson) Turner. Dick retired from

National Cash Register after 32 years of service and was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Canton and the

Northern Ohio Chapter of the Oldsmobile Club of America. Dick will be forever missed by his loving wife, Jane (Sumser)

Turner who walked hand in hand with him through an incredible 40 years of marriage. They were the love of each other's lives and were soulmates

who were inseparable. He is also survived by two sisters-in-law; three nephews; one great-nephew and many special friends. In addition to his parents,

he was preceded in death by his brother. Dick and his wife loved traveling, boating and cruise-ins in their '75 Olds convertible. He also enjoyed photography

and was a collector of model cars. He enjoyed his voluntary work with the McKinley Presidential Library and Museum, American Red Cross, Stark Parks

and Hall of Fame Grand Parade Committee. Dick was a wonderful man of great kindness, humor and generosity, always positive and upbeat. He will be greatly

missed but will live in the hearts of his family friends forever. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Peter's Catholic Church,

726 Cleveland Ave. NW, Canton. Entombment in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. on Monday in the Karlo-Feucht Funeral Home, 5000 Everhard Rd. NW,

Canton. Many thanks to all his special friends who thought so much of him and to the staff at Aultman MICU.
